While National Lipstick Day (on 7/29) is for sure one of those made-up holidays to sell things, it can have some pretty great deals attached to it that you shouldn’t ignore. One of the best ones every year is M.A.C.’s free lipstick event, which usually includes a totally gratis tube just for showing up. This year is a little different but still worth checking out. You can’t just show up at a store this time, which will hopefully diminish the massive lines at the stores. Instead, you’ll get a free full-size lipstick (worth $18) with a $25 purchase. If you spend $50, you also get a free M.A.C. lipstick canister.
The M.A.C. lipstick shade you’ll get is called CB96 and it’s a lipstick that was originally created for backstage use at runway shows. It’s a bright pink-orange with pearls with medium coverage and a semi-lustrous finish. It might look a little bright in the tube, but it looks incredible on a variety of skin tones.
If you really love lipstick, it’s probably worth popping into a M.A.C. store if you can. There will be complimentary lip demos and more than 350 lippies to try. If you can’t get to a store, you can still grab a free lipstick with the brand’s Back to M.A.C. program. Just return six primary packaging containers to a M.A.C. counter or M.A.C.’s website and you’ll receive a free lipstick of your choice. You’re helping the environment and grabbing free makeup so it’s pretty much a win-win.

MAC is a prestige brand of makeup sold in some department stores, their own stores, and online. MAC does not make gluten free makeup, per se, but they do pay enough attention to their products to be able to say which of their products has glutinous ingredients and which don’t. They do acknowledge that even products that don’t contain glutinous ingredients can come in contact with gluten, so gluten free is not guaranteed because of shared equipment.
Free Lipstick At Mac National Lipstick Day
Pick up my favorite $16 MAC lipstick for FREE! All you have to do is. Save your empty MAC containers. Once you get 6 containers (any kind of MAC product, it doesn't matter), then turn them in for a free lipstick! Just take your empty containers into a MAC makeup counter (at Nordstrom stores), hand them over, and tell them what lipstick. MAC Free as a Butterfly Lipstick ($17.50 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a 'semi-sheer golden nude with a Lustre finish.' It's a light golden beige with a frosted sheen. The Lustre finish is a sheerer formula, and indeed, it is sheer, though it seemed a bit sheerer than the average Lustre.
MAC offer a huge line of cosmetics, including but not limited to foundation, eye makeup, lipsticks, moisturizers, makeup removers, and fragrance.
I contacted MAC to ask generally about whether their makeup is gluten free, but also about particular products. Their representative sent me the following information:

– Ultimate Lipstick contains soy
– Pro Longwear Lipcreme contains corn and soy
– Mineralize Rich Lipstick contains wheat, barley, and soy
– Casual Colour contains soy
– Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation may contain soy and ingredients derived from corn and other grain sources

How Do You Get Free Lipstick At Mac
It’s up to you whether you’re willing to use a product that is made on shared equipment, but before you purchase MAC’s makeup, make sure to contact them and ask whether what you’d like to use has glutinous ingredients. I have not yet tried their products, so if you try any, let me know!
